That's right, I've upgraded my virtual wheezy image to Debian/sparc64 Sid. So I'm the second user who has installed and run Debian popularity contest:
Don't know who is the first user, and don't know why the submission on ~ 29.04.2014 on the graph above hasn't doubled the number of users back then.
Update: Debian/SPARC64 is mostly working, but there are some caveats:
Link time optimization with "gold" linker produces broken binaries. Unfortunately this hits systemd and udev, so those have to be re-built manually. I've submitted a bug for the upstream binutils.
In the mean time if anyone needs a working systemd-udevd, you can ask me. There is also a report that the qt build is broken, but I don't use it - only need a working console.

does compat_solaris work with debian/sparc64 (wheezy); I have some 32b and 64b binaries, either use libdl; fyi, it doesn't work (anymore) with NetBSD 7; not sure what's broke; but a bug was assigned and has been open for ages.
lmk, you're one of the 2 users in the world able to tell me.
Don't know. Have never tried it. Btw, in the mean time there is much more than 2 users. Thanks to John, the Debian/sparc64 is maintained again, so the number of users is growing.
Concerning the NetBSD: I think I saw reports that SunOS 4.x compatibility package used to work a few years ago (either here in blog comments on in the qemu-devel mailing list).
is the plan to support jessie as well? where are the isos?

Haven't tried them myself though. If you have questions, there is a good chance to get them answered on the debian-sparc@lists.debian.org mailing list.
trying one now. thanks for the link!
I've had issues with the isos there, but mostly due to my setup (I'm using a nonstandard network adapter, which itself works fine with solaris or openbsd, but not linux); I'll try again in qemu first, then on metal.
Interesting. Which network adapter is it?
vonets vap11g
works fine on openbsd
it's a wifi bridge (wifi to cat5 100mbps)
Good to know, thanks.
Awesome blog you have here
